Prevention in national languages

Because we do not take in information with the same clarity when it is broadcast in our mother tongue, Makutano partnered with the UNDP to roll out a Covid-19 prevention programme in the four national vernacular languages.

This awareness campaign, made up mainly of prevention videos produced by the doctors of the Makutano network, was broadcast on various TV channels in Lingala, Tetela, Kikongo, Swahili and Tshiluba, and made it possible to reach our fellow citizens living in the most remote areas of the country.

A campaign of roadside billboards commissioned from young Congolese artists was also part of the initiative and helped support our talents during this time of crisis.
